ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful anti-terrorist operations in Orakzai.
The president and prime minister, in their separately issued statements, appreciated the professional capabilities of the security forces for eliminating 30 India-backed Khawarij in recent days.
They said that the sacrifices of Lt. Col. Junaid Tariq, Major Tayyab Rahat, and other martyrs would never be squandered.
President Zardari said that the armed forces had made the nation proud by dismantling the network of Indian-sponsored Khawarij.
“Continuous successes against terrorism reflect our resolve. The brave sons of the soil have made history by sacrificing their lives to protect the motherland,” he added
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the officers and personnel of the security forces were tirelessly striving to safeguard the country from hostile elements, while risking their own lives.
He said that every officer and soldier of Pakistan’s armed forces was making the entire nation proud by embracing martyrdom to ensure the country’s security.
“We will never allow the sinister designs of terrorists to succeed. The fight against the scourge of terrorism will continue until it is eradicated in toto, Prime Minister Shehbaz said, reiterating that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces in their unwavering resolve to protect the homeland.
