ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Thursday said the bilateral relations of Pakistan and Germany are growing in diverse sectors of trade, energy, vocational training, education, health and climate resilience.
Addressing the commemoration ceremony of German Unity, the minister extended heartfelt felicitations to the people and government of Germany on the auspicious occasion.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, we pay tribute to all those who took part in this unification and all those people who are celebrating this auspicious occasion in Germany and all over the world today,” the minister remarked.
He said, “the people of Pakistan join you hand in hand in celebrating this auspicious occasion because when the people of Germany came together with the message of unity, not only a wall came down but along that wall came down all negativity and repression. It gave a birth to the new era of development peace and global harmony.”
The minister also shed light upon the remarkable relations Pakistan had with Germany since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1951. “The two countries have cooperated closely in various sectors including trade, energy, vocational training, education, health and climate resilience.”
“We remain indebted to the Federal Republic of Germany for extending all out cooperation in development and social sector of Pakistan,” he said while describing Germany a reliable partner to Pakistan over the decades.
“I often say to my friends that when it comes to Germans, actions speak louder than words,” he stressed.
“I can testify that all the projects on ground with German cooperation gives a loud and clear message that you believe in action, you believe in implementation and you believe in getting the work done diligently and effectively,” he remarked.
He assured the government and people of Germany that the Government of Pakistan would cooperate more closely and coordinate more efficiently with the Germany to achieve shared prosperity.
The minister highlighted the growing people-to-people relations between the two countries, vowing to promote their relations further so that Germany and Pakistan are seen as strong partner at global stage as well.
