SUKKUR, Oct 09 (APP):A delegation led by Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCo) Chief Commercial Manager Asad Mughal on Thursday visited the Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss pressing issues related to power supply, billing, and load shedding.
The delegation, comprising Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, and Sub-Divisional Officers, met with Chamber officials, including President Muhammad Khalid Kakezai and Convener Abdul Aziz Shewani.
During the meeting, the delegation addressed concerns regarding incorrect billing and load shedding, which have been affecting industrial activities and causing significant losses to businesses. Asad Mughal assured that all detection cases submitted by the Chamber have been resolved and updated in the system.
He also stated that SEPCO’s CEO has directed that no incorrect detection should be imposed on consumers in the future, and any such cases will be resolved within seven days.
The Chamber President emphasized the need for uninterrupted power supply during business hours, particularly in industrial zones. The SEPCo delegation assured that they will ensure timely resolution of consumer complaints and that field officers will perform their duties with diligence.
SEPCO Convener Abdul Aziz Shewani proposed establishing a complaint cell at the Sukkur Chamber, which would operate three days a week, two hours daily, to address industrial and commercial consumers’ grievances promptly. Chief Commercial Manager Asad Mughal agreed to this proposal and assured full cooperation.
