ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):Prof. Dr. Sammer Yousuf, a distinguished Pakistani scientist, has been elected as a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries, effective 1 January 2026.
This prestigious recognition places her among the world’s leading scientists who have made exceptional contributions to scientific progress in the developing world.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH and Vice President of TWAS for Central and South Asia, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Sammer Yousuf on this remarkable achievement, acknowledging it as a matter of great pride for Pakistan and for the scientific community of the OIC region.
Prof. Dr. Sammer Yousuf currently serves as a Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, and as a COMSTECH Distinguished Scholar.
She has an impressive academic and research profile, with over 260 publications, more than 3,900 citations, and an h-index of 32.
Her election as a TWAS Fellow is a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of chemistry, her dedication to scientific excellence, and her commitment to promoting research and innovation in the developing world.
