RAWALPINDI, Oct 09 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday sealed 8 milk shops besides registering FIRs during an operation in Rawalpindi.
According to the PFA spokesman, food safety teams launched a comprehensive operation in the areas of Satellite Town, Shaheen Town, Rawal Road, and Behria Town and took samples from 23 shops.
During the operation,8 shops were sealed and FIRs were registered against owners for adulterating dry powder and vegetable oil in milk.
The teams also destroyed 2,500 litres of milk and imposed a fine of Rs 245,000 against the culprits.
The PFA urged the public to lodge their complaints, if any, regarding food, bakery items or milk at 1223.
