SWABI, Oct 8 (APP)::Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Qasim Ali Shah on Wednesday formally inaugurated District Child Protection Unit.
The inauguration ceremony among others was attended by Country Head UNICEF, Chief UNICEF KP, local elites and representatives from various social welfare organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, provincial minister termed child protection unit a milestone achievement and said that government is tirelessly working for welfare of unprivileged children.
He also assured government’s support to the unit and said steps would be taken for support and facilitation of poor and deserving children.
Country Head UNICEF also assured cooperation and said that children that have no access to basic amenities including health and education would be provided help in the unit.
