LAHORE, Oct 08 (APP): Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Chairperson Sarah Ahmad has taken serious notice of an alleged incident of violence against a minor domestic worker in Faisalabad.
Chairperson Sarah Ahmad directed the Faisalabad team of the Child Protection Bureau to immediately contact the affected child and her family and extend all possible assistance.
Expressing deep sorrow and concern over the incident, she said that the reported torture of a 13-year-old domestic worker, Zahra, by her employers was extremely tragic and condemnable.
According to initial reports, the employers allegedly burned the girl with heated tongs and forcibly cut
her hair. The chairperson said that the police had registered an FIR and arrested the suspects involved in the crime.
Sarah Ahmad further assured that the victim, Zahra, will be provided full support, medical care, and legal protection to ensure justice is served.
She emphasized that strict legal action will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such inhumane incidents in the future.
