Gold hits all-time high at Rs 425,178 per tola

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP):The price of per tola 24 karat gold reached an all-time high on Wednesday, rising by Rs 8,400 to Rs 425,178 compared to Rs 416,778 on Tuesday, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs 7,202 to Rs 364,521 from Rs 357,319, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold rose to Rs 334,156 from Rs. 327,554with an increase of Rs 6,602.
In the international market, gold prices also strengthened by $84 to reach $4,039 per ounce compared to the previous day’s $3,955.
Likewise, the price of per tola silver went up by Rs 55 to Rs 4,984, while 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 47 to Rs 4,272. International silver prices stood at $48.80, showing an uptick of $0.55.
The Association stated that today’s gold rates — based on the interbank exchange rate and purity of Rs 999 per 24 karat — mark the highest in Pakistan’s history, reflecting global market trends and currency fluctuations.
