ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the Pakistan security forces for their successful counterterrorism operation in Orakzai, in which 19 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed. He said the operation demonstrated the unmatched professionalism, bravery, and resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation against external threats and militancy.
In a statement the interior minister paid rich tribute to Lieutenant Colonel Junaid, Major Tayyab, and nine soldiers who embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly against the terrorists. He expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and offered prayers for the early recovery of two soldiers injured during the operation.
“Lieutenant Colonel Junaid, Major Tayyab, and their brave companions laid down their lives to thwart the nefarious designs of India-sponsored terrorists,” Naqvi said. “Their courage and sacrifice have safeguarded the peace and dignity of our homeland.”
The interior minister said the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten, and the nation will always remain indebted to their bravery and devotion to duty.
“The martyrs have written a golden chapter of love, loyalty, and sacrifice with their blood,” he added. “Each drop of their blood is a testament to Pakistan’s unshakable determination to eradicate terrorism in all its forms.”
Naqvi also paid tribute to the families of the martyrs, calling them the true strength of the nation. He said their resilience and pride in the sacrifice of their loved ones serve as an inspiration for all Pakistanis.
“The entire nation salutes the brave families of the martyrs who continue to stand tall with honor and courage,” the Minister said.
Reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the armed forces in the fight against terrorism, Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism remains absolute. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the security forces and their families are the cornerstone of peace and stability in the country.
“Our fight against terrorism will continue until the last militant is eliminated and Pakistan is free from the menace of extremism,” he concluded.
