PESHAWAR, Oct 08 (APP):The authorities have declared five more areas of Tehsil Mamond in Bajaur district as completely cleared of any ant-state elements and activities.
The cleared areas include Zarai, Awndi, Gailai, Gatt, and Zagai.
Following the announcement, a wave of joy spread among the local population, as residents are now allowed to return to their homes starting today (Wednesday).
The people of these areas had been displaced for some time and had repeatedly expressed their distress and disappointment over being away from their ancestral lands.
They had urged the government to take swift action to restore peace and enable their return — a demand that has now been fulfilled.
