Pakistan Airports Authority Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Data Center at Karachi Airport

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP):The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has inaugurated a modern and fully equipped data center at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, marking a major milestone in the authority’s digital transformation journey.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Director General PAA, Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, who officially opened the facility designed to support nationwide digital operations and enhance the efficiency of airport management systems across Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed highlighted the critical role of technology in modern aviation, emphasizing that the new data center represents a significant step forward in the country’s move toward digital integration. “This facility will strengthen our operational capabilities, improve data management, and ensure more efficient airport services,” he stated.
The Director General also extended his appreciation and congratulated the technical teams involved in the successful completion of the project, acknowledging their dedication and professionalism in achieving this technological advancement.
According to the PAA, the newly launched data center will centralize data from Karachi Airport operations and PAA headquarters, ensuring seamless information flow and real-time monitoring. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the operational performance of airports nationwide.
Officials added that the establishment of the data center will accelerate the implementation of upcoming passenger service projects, including e-gates, free Wi-Fi, and 5G connectivity, thereby improving the travel experience for millions of passengers using Pakistani airports each year.
During the ceremony, Additional Director IT, Project Director, and other key members of the project team were presented with commemorative shields in recognition of their efforts. Senior officials from the Jinnah International Airport administration, including the Airport Manager, were also in attendance.
The PAA’s latest initiative underscores its commitment to digital innovation and service excellence, aligning with global standards in airport management and passenger facilitation.
