ASTORE,Oct 07 (APP):Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Gilgit-Baltistan, Shams Lone, visited Shaheed Saifur Rehman Hospital and inquired about the health of the renowned religious scholar Qazi Nisar Ahmed and other police personnel who were injured in the attack that took place yesterday.
On this occasion, he expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of Qazi Nisar Ahmed and the other injured individuals, assuring them of the government’s full support.
He stated that the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan strongly condemns the attack on Qazi Nisar Ahmed and vowed that those involved in this tragic incident will be given the severest punishment in accordance with the law.
He further said that maintaining peace and order is the government’s top priority and that no one will be allowed to disturb the region’s peace under any circumstances. All those involved in the incident will be traced and brought to justice.
Provincial Home Minister Shams Lone added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are peace-loving and will not allow a few miscreants to disrupt the peace of the region. He emphasized that the government adheres to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, extremism, and sectarianism, and will bear all medical expenses for the injured.
Shams Lone praised the bravery of the police personnel, saying that they thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists without caring for their own lives — a shining example of their courage and determination.
