LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Jamshed Iqbal Cheema until November 7 in multiple cases related to the May 9 violence, including the Jinnah House and Askari Tower attacks.
Both leaders appeared before Duty Judge Arshad Javed, who presided over the hearing. The court directed that the defence counsel to present their arguments on the next hearing regarding the confirmation of the bails.
The court had directed to complete investigation against Musarrat Cheema while the probe into Jamshed Cheema’s role has been completed. Musarrat Jamshed Cheema has obtained interim bail in eight cases, while Jamshed Iqbal Cheema is on interim bail in four cases.
The cases include Askari Tower, Jinnah House, and vandalism outside Rahat Bakery.
