RAWALPINDI, Oct 06 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 6 operations across the country, recovered as many as 83 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 8.4 million and arrested 4 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Monday.
He informed that 300 grams of ice were recovered from a vehicle near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, and the accused was arrested.
The arrested suspect confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
During another action, 120 grams of cocaine in cream boxes were recovered from a parcel sent from Scotland at a courier office in Multan.
As many as 65 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near a hotel in Pishin, Quetta and the accused was arrested.
Similarly,9.6 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Qutbal Toll Plaza, Attock and the accused was arrested.
In another operation,6 kilograms of opium were recovered from the possession of a motorcycle-riding suspect near Ring Road, Peshawar.
As much as 2.310 kilograms of opium were recovered from cream boxes in a parcel sent from Peshawar at a courier office in Rawalpindi.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
