ISLAMABAD, Oct 06 (APP):Intermittent rain continued in the federal capital on Monday as the Islamabad district administration deployed assistant commissioners and field staff across the city to monitor roads and low-lying areas.
According to the spokesman, the Islamabad district administration remained active across the city as intermittent rainfall continued in various areas. On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, assistant commissioners and field teams were present in the field to ensure smooth traffic movement and monitor rainwater drainage.
Officials said that all major roads, intersections, and low-lying areas were being closely observed to prevent water accumulation and traffic disruptions. The teams were instructed to take immediate action in case of any blockage or flooding.
The administration reported that traffic on major routes remained unaffected, with coordinated efforts between the district administration and traffic police ensuring a steady flow of vehicles during the rain.
Citizens have been urged to stay cautious and report any untoward incident or rain-related emergency to the district administration’s control room without delay.
According to the administration, continuous field monitoring will continue until the weather stabilizes, while teams remain on standby to respond to any situation that may arise due to the rainfall.
