MIRPUR (AJK), Oct 06 (APP):Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF, Yasin Malik faction) has vehemently condemned a report published by Al-Jazeera on October 2, written by some unknown reporter on an 85-page response submitted by Muhammad Yasin Malik to Delhi High Court in India on NIA’s death penalty petition against him, JKLF (Y) has said.
“The JKLF doubts its veracity and genuineness as the unnamed reporter using the platform, without going deep into the document and its content, has come up with a wrongly twisted heading for the report”, the organization said in a press release released here.
Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the JKLF chief spokesman, in a statement issued from the party’s central information office, had termed the report as fake and venomous as it was unusually written by some unnamed reporter with hidden mala fide intentions to tarnish the image of the most revered pro-freedom political leader of Jammu Kashmir.
The spokesman, in very categorical terms, warned that the media platform that JKLF reserved the right of defamation if the report is not rectified by Al-Jazeera at earliest.
He said that the illegally incarcerated chairman JKLF, Muhammad Yasin Malik for his character, sacrifices, selflessness and unmatched pro-active role he has played so far in the freedom struggle of Jammu Kashmir, was the most popular pro-freedom political leader of Jammu Kashmir who enjoyed unprecedented and overwhelming support of the people of Jammu Kashmir living from across the both sides of the ceasefire line and that the act of the un-named reporter is unacceptable and intolerable.
