ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP):Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid rich tribute to teachers across the country on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping individuals, society, and the nation’s future.
In his special message, the Interior Minister said that Teachers’ Day is dedicated to those noble figures who, through unwavering commitment and hard work, have kept the lamp of knowledge burning in all circumstances. “Only those nations achieve true progress that recognize the greatness, character, and stature of their teachers,” Naqvi remarked.
Highlighting the selfless service of educators, the minister said the day reminds everyone of the sacrifices teachers make by devoting themselves to nurturing generations and giving them purpose and direction. “The intellectual elevation of societies, cultural refinement, and national dignity are all due to the guidance of teachers,” he added.
Calling teaching a sacred mission, Naqvi said that the role of a teacher is a continuation of the legacy of the Prophets. He emphasized that whatever professional success and public responsibilities he has attained are a result of the training, dedication, and mentorship of his respected teachers. “I can never repay the debt I owe to my teachers,” he stated with deep gratitude.
Naqvi further said that teachers shape the direction of generations’ thought, character, and social awareness. “History bears witness that the greatness of every era has emerged from generations nurtured by great teachers,” he noted.
Concluding his message, the Interior Minister urged that society must collectively resolve to place respect for teachers at the heart of the national narrative. “Let us reaffirm our commitment to uphold the dignity of teachers—not just in words, but as a guiding principle and a state policy,” he stressed.
