NA Speaker assumes responsibilities as acting President of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (APP): National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has assumed the responsibilities of Acting President of Pakistan under Article 49(2) of the Constitution, due to the absence of both the President and the Chairman Senate.

Secretary Cabinet Division Kamran Ali Afzal has officially notified that Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has assumed the role of Acting President. He will continue to perform these duties until the President and Chairman Senate return to the country.
