LAHORE, Oct 02 (APP):In line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, “Narcotics Free Punjab – Healthy and Safe Punjab”, the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) has further intensified its crackdown on the drug mafia.
In its latest intelligence-based operation conducted on 1st October 2025, the Narcotics Control Station Gujranwala Division of Punjab CNF carried out a successful raid in Sambrial, Sialkot. The operation resulted in the seizure of 7,000 kilograms of Bhang, two unlicensed pistols with live ammunition, and the arrest of two individuals.
According to initial investigations, the recovered Bhang was intended to be transported to various cities across Punjab and Sindh for the preparation of hashish. Legal proceedings have already been initiated against the arrested suspects.
Over the past two months alone, Punjab CNF’s targeted operations have led to the recovery of narcotics worth more than 78 million rupees.
Reaffirming their resolve, Punjab CNF authorities stated that the force will continue to conduct aggressive and intelligence-driven operations against drug trafficking networks, ensuring the complete dismantling of such mafias in line with the Chief Minister’s vision of a safe, healthy, and drug-free Punjab.
