ISLAMABAD, Oct 02 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 14 criminals in separate actions and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons during an ongoing crackdown across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Thursday that police teams from Golra, Sangjani, and Koral police stations apprehended seven accused and seized 2,850 grams of hashish, 1,900 grams of ice, and two pistols with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are underway.
He said that during a special campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, another seven criminals were also arrested.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq said the ICT Police is actively working to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, adding that no one will be allowed to disturb peace in the federal capital.
