ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP):The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has invited scholarship applications from deserving non-Muslim students enrolled in government institutions—from primary schools to professional colleges—with the submission deadline set for October 28.
According to official sources on Sunday, eligible applicants must be regular students from Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, and other minority communities enrolled in government institutions, with at least 50 percent marks in their last annual examination and a strong academic record. The monthly income of their parent or guardian must not exceed Rs 80,000 during financial year 2025-26.
Students enrolled in private institutions are not eligible for the scholarships. Heads of government educational institutions have been instructed to verify the authenticity of the applicants’ documents, including those of their parents or guardians, before forwarding the applications.
The applicants must first submit their scholarship applications online. After completing the online submission, they are required to print the application form—bearing the computerized number—and forward it to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony within five days of online submission. The printed form must be verified by the head or principal of the applicant’s institution.
The application must include attested copies of the student’s marks sheet and progress report from the most recent examination. Students following the GPA system are required to submit relevant academic documents issued by their institutions. Those enrolled under the semester system must attach attested result cards for the last two semesters. Marks sheets issued on plain paper will not be accepted. An original income certificate of the applicant’s father or guardian is also mandatory.
Additional required documents include attested copies of the applicant’s NADRA-issued B-Form or CNIC, and details of their bank account in a scheduled bank. The head of the institution must verify all submitted documents, including academic records and the financial status of the student’s family. Applicants currently benefiting from any other scholarship program are not eligible to apply.
Application forms can be downloaded from the official website: www.mora.org.pk. Applications that are not filled or submitted online will not be considered. For further information, applicants may contact the Section Officer at 051-9208487.
