ISLAMABAD, Sep 26 (APP):The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins, paid a farewell call on Federal Minister for Law and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on Friday.
Welcoming the High Commissioner, the Minister appreciated his dedicated efforts in further strengthening the friendly relations between Pakistan and Australia, particularly in the field of human rights.
He acknowledged the valuable support extended by the Australian Government and highlighted the importance of continued collaboration to promote inclusivity, diversity, and fundamental rights for all citizens.
During the meeting, Azam Nazeer Tarar briefed the High Commissioner on Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen its human rights framework, including the implementation of the National Action Plan on Human Rights and continued work to ensure protection and empowerment of vulnerable groups.
High Commissioner Neil Hawkins expressed his appreciation for the strong partnership between the two countries during his tenure and reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in advancing shared objectives of human rights, equality, and social justice.
The meeting concluded with both sides reiterating their resolve to further enhance cooperation and build on the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Australia.
