Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Sep 19 (APP):Shipping activity was reported at the port where four ships, Hong Young Chang Sheng, Highway, MSC Michigan-VII and Etagas, carrying containers and Chemicals, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal, respectively, on Thursday.
Meanwhile, six more ships, MSC Ulsan-III, Nour-EL-UD-Huda, NCC Huda, Abdullah, Kaisa-1, and Kunlun carrying Container, Steel Plates, Palm oil, Rape Seed, LPG, and LNG have also arrived at outer anchorage during the last 24 hours.
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘MSC Michigan-VII, left the port this morning, while five more ships, Gianna, Highway, Etagas, Kiran Australia and Nikos-N are expected to sail on this afternoon.
Cargo volume of 121,349 tonnes, comprising 106,414 tonnes imports cargo and 14,935 export cargo carried in 2,814 Containers (2,448 TEUs Imports & 366 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, MSC Ulsan-III, MSC Falcon-III, Start, Amir Gas, and Falmouth Bay & another ship, Torm Evolve, carrying Container, Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Mogas expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL, PQEPT, and FOTCO today.
