TASHKENT, Sept 12 (UzA/APP) : A delegation led by the Chief of Staff of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Farid Hajiyev, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting with Kudrat Nurullayev, the head of the Senate staff, it was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are based on strong historical ties and shared cultural and spiritual values.
Thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries, interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has reached a new level of development.
The successful holding of the Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Forum in Khiva was noted at the meeting. A roadmap for interparliamentary cooperation for 2025-2026 has been signed.
The importance of continuing to implement the reached agreements and strengthening interparliamentary cooperation was emphasized. Specific areas of partnership, such as the exchange of experience in lawmaking, parliamentary expertise, information and analytical work, attention to international ratings, and the introduction of innovative digital solutions, were discussed. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and establish a regular constructive dialogue.
