TASHKENT, Sept 10 (UzA/APP) : Today, the Global Textile Days officially opened at the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Complex in Tashkent.
As part of this event, which brings together three key occasions, more than 250 companies and brands from 22 countries are showcasing their products.
At the grand opening of the Week, organized by the Iteca Exhibitions, speeches were delivered by the First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association Muhammadjon Jumaniyazov, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Machinery Exporters Association Sevda Kayhan Yılmaz, and others. They emphasized that this exhibition has become an essential platform for presenting products of global manufacturers in textile and garment engineering, while the number of local participants has been growing year by year.
Within the framework of the Week, the 16th International Central Asian Textile Machinery and Technologies Exhibition, CAITME 2025, and the jubilee 25th International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition “TextileExpo Uzbekistan 2025” are being held, alongside a series of business events.
It should be noted that the Global Textile Days are aimed not only at showcasing advanced developments in the textile industry but also at supporting local manufacturers. A Buyer Program is in place to facilitate direct communication with foreign buyers and the establishment of new business ties.
The Bukhara-based company Merganteks is also presenting its products at the exhibition. According to the company’s manager, Gulchekhra Shoikulova, the event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with foreign buyers.
“Our products are exported to Poland, Türkiye, and Iran. The company’s production cycle includes cotton-cleaning plants, textile, dyeing, and garment factories. Today, the enterprise is actively expanding its capabilities, and participation in the exhibition is extremely important for achieving our goals”, she noted.
According to Alejandro Pastrana, founder of the Spanish company AYECO, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain is strengthening, which is of great importance for the development of the textile industry.
“Over the past six to seven years, Spanish companies have been actively entering the Uzbekistan market. We are focused on promoting Uzbekistan products to the European market, paying special attention to goods that are in high demand.
However, competition in Europe is very strong. If products are similar to European ones, it isn’t easy to sell them. This applies not only to Uzbek goods but also to products from other countries. Nevertheless, for items that are in demand in Europe, the market is always open and offers vast opportunities”, Alejandro Pastrana emphasized.
