BEIJING, Aug 30 (APP): In the first half of 2025, Huawei achieved operating revenue of 427.039 billion yuan ($59.8 billion), up approximately 4 percent year-on-year.
The expenditure in research and development (R&D) reached 96.95 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.04 percent, accounting for 22.7 percent of revenue, according to Huawei’s interim financial results published on Friday.
The company’s net profit in the first half stood at 37.195 billion yuan, down 32 percent from 2024, with a net profit margin of 8.7 percent, as showed in the interim financial results report published on the Beijing Financial Assets Exchange.
As seen from the report, key factors impacting net profit included rising R&D costs, which increased by roughly 9 percent.
