Naat, Qiraat competitions held

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 28 (APP):The district administration South Waziristan Upper has organized Seerat-un-Nabi(Peace Be Upon Him), Naat and Qiraat competitions in the district as part of Ashra of Rahmatul Lil-Alameen(PBUH) celebrations.
According to the district administration, these competitions are being held in accordance with a directive issued by the Department of Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
These competitions will not only promote religious awareness among students but also encourage them to seek guidance from the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet(PBUH) in their daily lives.
It added these spiritually enriching and literary events will be held at Governor Model School Zam, District Tank (Deputy Commissioner Compound, Upper South Waziristan), under the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Asmatullah Wazir, and supervised by Assistant Commissioner Sarwekai, Azmat Ali Khan Afridi.
The DC said that introducing students to the teachings and life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) during Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen(PBUH) was a key responsibility.
 He urged widespread participation from students of madrasas, schools, and colleges in these competitions.
The district administration also has announced valuable cash prizes for the top-performing students in the Naat and Qiraat competitions.
