ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP):The Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, designed to distribute 100,000 free laptops to deserving students nationwide, has been postponed in response to the flood crisis affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
According to an official sources from Prime Minster Youth Programme (PMYP), the laptop distribution event , which was initially set to begin in July 2025, has been put on hold to accommodate the relief efforts in flood-affected areas. The youth laptop distribution event has been rescheduled by 2 weeks due to university closures nationwide.
A revised date will be announced soon, allowing eligible students to receive their laptops as part of the government’s initiative to promote digital literacy among youth.
The recent floods have caused widespread destruction, displacing thousands of people and disrupting essential services.
As the situation in KPK ,GB and AJK continues to unfold, the concerned department is working to reschedule the laptop distribution, ensuring that deserving students receive their laptops as soon as possible.
The revised timeline for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme will be announced once the situation in KPK,GB and AJK stabilizes.
