DIR LOWER, Aug 21 (APP):The University of Malakand has taken a significant step by announcing free admissions for students from flood-affected areas, including Buner, Swat, Lower Dir, and Bajaur.
Under this initiative, one free admission seat will be reserved in every department for eligible students, said the varsity spokesman adding the facility will not be available in the departments of Law, Pharmacy, and Software Engineering.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rasheed Ahmad, while expressing his views on the occasion, said that the university has always stood with the people of the region in difficult times.
“Whether it was providing relief to earthquake victims or supporting the rehabilitation of flood-hit communities, we have remained by their side. Offering free education to affected students is a continuation of this commitment,” he added.
According to a notification issued by the Registrar, students belonging to the affected districts are encouraged to apply and benefit from this opportunity.
The last date for admissions at the University of Malakand is August 25.
