PESHAWAR, Aug 20 (APP): Federal Minister and PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam Wednesday announced a series of relief measures during his visit to Dalori, one of the areas severely affected by recent torrential rains and floods in Swabi.
The minister declared that, in addition to the provincial government’s grant, the federal government would provide financial compensation of Rs 2 million for the heirs of each martyr.
He assured residents that electricity in the affected areas will be restored within two days.
Amir Muqam conveyed condolences from PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the departed souls.
He also praised the efforts of rescue and relief teams, non-governmental organizations, and local communities for their prompt response in assisting victims of the disaster.
The minister emphasized that the government and state institutions stand united with the flood-affected families, noting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir’s personal visit to Buner reflects their commitment to supporting the victims.
