PESHAWAR, Aug 20 (APP): A three-member delegation from Vietnam, comprising two experienced pediatric cardiac surgeons and one intensivist has arrived at Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) for five days exchange program.
Under the collaboration teams of PIC working in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery would perform complex cardiac surgeries with Vietnamese experts.
The visit is part of a skills and knowledge exchange initiative aimed at strengthening expertise in modern cardiac surgery techniques between Pakistan and Vietnam.
According to Professor Dr. Ijaz Hussain, Head of the Pediatric Department PIC the exchange program between experts of the two countries would benefit both patients and young doctors. Through international cooperation, we not only learn modern techniques but also provide world-class treatment to our patients”, he said.
According to PIC administration, this 5-day collaboration represents an important milestone in advancing pediatric cardiac surgery in the region while ensuring high-quality care for children with congenital heart diseases.
