ISLAMABAD, Aug 17 (APP): Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran Muhammad Mudassir Tipu on Sunday paid tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan who offered sacrifices under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He was speaking at a special ceremony held at Pakistan House Tehran to mark the Independence Day of Pakistan and the victory of Marka e Haq and Bunyan un Marsoos.
Earlier, the Independence Day celebrations were postponed due to observance of Arbaeen in Iran.
Members of Pakistani community in Iran and officials of the embassy attended the ceremony, a press release said.
While paying tribute to the exemplary courage of the armed forces of Pakistan, Ambassador Mudassir said their forces were always ready to defend the frontiers against all enemies.
The Marka e Haq became successful due to their unparalleled defense capabilities in May 2025, he added.
While congratulating the Pakistani diaspora on Pakistan’s Independence Day, Ambassador, Mudassir thanked them for their contributions and efforts in the socio-economic spheres of Iran and promotion of bilateral relations.
Referring to the successful visit of President Pezeshkian he said, Pakistan and Iran were determined to enhance their trade volume up to 10 billion dollars and to achieve this target the contribution of Pakistani diaspora in Iran is very significant.
“Pakistan has faced multiple challenges, since Independence but by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the dedication and hard work of Pakistanis, the nation has continued forwarding as a modern and progressive state and has a distinguished position among comity of nations,” he added.
