Dera Ismail Khan, Jul 31 (APP): The Traffic Police in Dera Ismail Khan have launched a comprehensive crackdown against underage and unlicensed motorcyclists under the directives of the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Syed Ashfaq Anwar and District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmad Sahabzada.

The campaign is being conducted under the supervision of DSP Traffic Chann Shah, during which a large number of motorcycles were impounded and heavy fines were deposited in the national treasury.

According to the police spokesperson, this initiative aims to ensure road safety and reduce the risk of accidents caused by underage drivers and those operating motorcycles without valid licenses.

On this occasion, DPO Dera Sajjad Ahmad Sahabzada made a heartfelt appeal to parents, urging them to refrain from allowing their underage children to ride motorcycles without a license. “We appeal to all parents to act responsibly. Prevent your underage children from riding motorcycles without a license, as such negligence may lead to irreversible tragedies,” he stated.

He further emphasized the need for public cooperation in promoting a responsible traffic culture, urging citizens to abide by traffic laws. “Following traffic rules is essential to curbing road accidents. Responsible behavior by every citizen can greatly contribute to the overall improvement of the traffic system,” the DPO added.

The crackdown is part of the ongoing efforts by the district police to enhance public safety and ensure strict implementation of traffic laws across the region.
