Polling for vacant Senate seat begins in KP Assembly

PESHAWAR, Jul 31 (APP):Polling for a vacant Senate seat reserved for woman started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly here Thursday.
The by-election for the lone vacant Senate seat is being held after resignation of former senator Sania Nishtar.
 The Provincial Election Commissioner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saeed Gul, along with other polling officers, are present at their respective stations.
 A total of five candidates are contesting in the election. Polling started at 9 a.m and will continue until 4 p.m.
Speaker Babar Salim Swat and member provincial assembly cast their votes.
The counting will start soon after completion of voting process. PTI has issued ticket to Mashal Yousafzai while other politcal parties also fielded their strong candidates.
