SIALKOT, Jul 29 (APP):The Pest Warning and Quality Control of Pesticides Department, Sialkot, raided two shops of agricultural chemicals on the Badiana-Rachada Road and recovered a large quantity of expired pesticides without dealership and invoices and lodged a case against two people.
The operation was led by Director Agriculture (Plant Protection) Sialkot Dr. Maqsood Ahmed.
The total value of the recovered pesticides is more than Rs, 3,00,000 and out of this, the value of expired pesticides is Rs. 60,000. Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that for possession of expired medicines, the accused can be fined up to Rs5,00,000 and imprisoned for six months to two years. While possession of agricultural pesticides without dealership and invoices can be fined up to Rs1,00,000.
