ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):Koral Police on Tuesday arrested a key member of a previously convicted organized theft gang and seized a laptop and a weapon with ammunition used in multiple criminal activities.
A police spokesperson told APP that the suspect, identified as Waqas Ahmed, has a prior criminal record and was wanted in several theft cases registered at Koral Police Station.
The police seized a laptop and an unlicensed firearm along with live ammunition from the suspect’s possession. Legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said all legal requirements will be fulfilled to ensure the accused receives exemplary punishment.
He added that large-scale operations are underway across the capital to dismantle organized and active criminal gangs threatening public safety.
