ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):The Pakistan volleyball team played their fifth and final group-stage match of the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship 2025 against a strong Argentina side.
In a tightly contested encounter, Pakistan narrowly lost the match 2-3, with set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 21-25, 25-16, 11-15, said a press release.
Despite the loss, Pakistan secured the top position in Pool A with 13 points, owing to their four consecutive victories in earlier matches.
The match featured high-intensity rallies, powerful spikes, and remarkable defense from both sides. Pakistan pushed the match to a decisive fifth set, showcasing strong teamwork and resilience. Although they couldn’t clinch the win, their performance reinforced their position as a top contender in the championship.
Pakistan ends the Preliminary Round with 13 points and retains 1st place in Pool A.
Pakistan will advance to the Top 16 Round and will face the fourth-place team (4) from Pool C. The final placement of Pool C is still to be decided.
