NLPD honors students with certificates for their outstanding calligraphy work

ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):The National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Calligraphy, where 35 students were recognized for their outstanding work, said a press release here on Tuesday.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Director General NLPD, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, congratulated all the successful students and appreciated their passion for calligraphy.
He said, “Calligraphy is not only a representative art of our culture but also reflects our religious and cultural heritage.”
In his welcome address, the Executive Director of the department, Dr. Rashid Hameed, said that the teachers of the department, Azhar Hussain and Nasir Khan Seemab, have played a vital role in the promotion of calligraphy, which has brought liveliness to the institution.
He added that they expect even greater student participation in the future.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the participants expressed their views, saying that the awarding of certificates has not only encouraged the students but will also serve as a milestone in the promotion of the art of calligraphy.
The participants highly appreciated the tireless efforts and guidance of the teachers and expressed hope that the department will continue to take such initiatives for the promotion of calligraphy in the future as well.
