Traders urge immediate reopening of Raja Bazaar roads

RAWALPINDI, Jul 28 (APP):The Rawalpindi Traders Action Committee has called for the urgent reopening of closed roads in Raja Bazaar. Rawalpindi is indeed a major commercial center. Its markets like Raja Bazaar host a wide variety of businesses.
Speaking at a press conference at the Rawalpindi Press Club, Liaquat Bagh, Traders Action Committee leaders, including President Anjum Parvaiz Bhatti, Chaudhry Sohail, Malik Tahir, Malik Nisar, Haji Sadaqat, Asif Akram, Senior Vice President of the All Pakistan Traders Association Kamal Pasha, Sheikh Shabbir, Tariq Sunni, and Sheikh Afzal, highlighted the issues faced by the business community.
The leaders appealed directly to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to resolve the issue without delay, citing problems with loading and transporting new stock due to blocked access routes.
While the traders expressed support for the government’s anti-encroachment campaign—praising Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her dedicated efforts.
“We backed the government’s initiatives, and the people of Rawalpindi have historically supported the PML-N,” they said. “Now we need immediate action to protect our businesses.” they added.
