QUETTA, Jul 28 (APP): The Balochistan Assembly has taken a major legislative stride by passing a landmark amendment bill aimed at protecting women from workplace harassment, marking a significant step toward building safer and more equitable work environments across the province.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti praised the bill’s approval as a “collective success” and “practical step toward a more inclusive society,” emphasizing its role in fostering gender equality and sustainable development.
“True progress is only possible when men and women work together in a secure and respectful environment,” Bugti said during the assembly session. “This law reflects our shared commitment to protecting women’s rights and dignity.”

“I congratulated the house for passing a law that brings safety, trust, and opportunity to women in their workplaces,” He added. “Our government remains committed to empowering women with equal rights, respect, and security.”
