The aroma, colour and taste of traditional Pakistani cuisine are recognized all over the world, and a beautiful glimpse of it was seen in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe.

Pakistani embassy organized a wonderful food festival of Pakistani cuisine on Sunday. Traditional, famous and popular dishes of Pakistan were presented at the food festival. The aim of the festival was to highlight the culture, hospitality and tasty dishes of Pakistan at the global level.
This wonderful food festival presented traditional and famous dishes of all four provinces of the country, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Chicken Karahi, chapli kebab, pakoras, samosas, jalebiyan, parathas, lassi, chana chaat, and other snacks and delicious foods adorned the festival. Along with the food, traditional music, Pakistani clothing, handmade handicrafts, and cultural decorations made the event even more attractive. Pakistani flags, colorful clothes, pottery, and folk art were also presented at various stalls, which gave a glimpse of Pakistani culture and civilization.


Tajik women got attractive designs on their hands by getting henna applied from the stalls. They expressed admiration for the cultural heritage of Pakistan. Not only a large number of Tajik people participated in the festival, but tourists and diplomatic representatives from different countries of the world also came to the food festival to taste Pakistani food and enjoy the cultural atmosphere. They appreciated the rich flavors of Pakistan. The participants said that this festival was not only a memorable food experience but also provided an opportunity to become aware of the positive and beautiful aspects of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s ambassador to Tajikistan Saeed Sarwar said that the aim of the festival was to further promote cultural relations between the two brotherly countries — Pakistan and Tajikistan. He said that Pakistani food was amazing in taste, adding Pakistanis were known for their hospitality.

He expressed his resolve to continue organizing such events in the future to further promote Pakistan’s culture, hospitality and traditions. The festival was a living proof that food can win hearts and build bridges between cultures. The Pakistani food festival was a great example of international friendship, harmony and cultural interaction.
