PESHAWAR, Jul 26 (APP):All the 500 stranded tourists in the Saif ul Mulk lake were safely rescued on Saturday.
According to details, a landslide occurred the other day on the Saif-ul-Muluk Lake Road due to a cloudburst, resulting in more than 500 tourists from across the country and over 117 jeeps were stranded.
Tourism Department spokesman in a statement here said Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur took immediate notice of the incident and directed Secretary of Tourism Dr. Abdul Samad Khan to utilize all available resources to safely evacuate the tourists.
Secretary of Tourism Dr. Abdul Samad issued instructions to the Director General of Kaghan Development for a rescue operation. Through this operation, all the 500 stranded tourists in the area were safely relocated to a secure location.
