Local Bus Association delegation meets Parliamentary Secretary for Transport

QUETTA, Jul 25 (APP):A delegation from the Quetta Local Bus Association met with Member of the Provincial Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri, to discuss the ongoing challenges faced by local transport operators in Balochistan.
The delegation was led by the Chief Minister’s focal person, Syed Iqbal Shah, and included prominent association members such as Sher Ahmed Baloch, Buland Khan Shahwani, Haji Afzal Shahwani, Malik Sarwar Shahwani, Malik Babu Shafi Lehri, Akhtar Shah Kakar, Ali Gul Bangulzai, and Iqbal Jatak.
During the meeting, the delegation provided a detailed briefing on the difficulties currently confronting bus owners and operators in the province. Key concerns included operational hurdles, regulatory issues, and the financial burden on transporters.
Parliamentary Secretary Lehri assured them that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities and pledged to make every possible effort to ensure that the issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
“The government acknowledges the critical role of local transport in Balochistan’s daily life and economy. We are committed to supporting the sector and addressing its genuine concerns,” Lehri stated following the meeting.
