ABBOTTABAD, Jul 24 (APP):Meeting of the sub-committee formed under the Standing Committee on Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was held on Thursday to review the procurement process for the forensic report of the MRI machine at Ayub Medical Complex (AMC).
The meeting, chaired by MPA and committee member Syeda Shehla Bano, concluded with the decision to re-initiate the tendering process to ensure transparency and compliance with provincial procurement regulations.
During the session, officials informed the committee that the initial tendering process for the forensic report was conducted on the committee’s directions. However, only one firm participated and submitted its application through the traditional (manual) method rather than the mandatory electronic procurement system (e-procurement), in violation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) rules.
Given this non-compliance, the committee unanimously decided that the tendering process should be re-done to meet legal and procedural requirements.
Dr. Dawood Iqbal, Asghar Khan, Syeda Bibi, Altaf ur Rehman, Muhammad Younis, and Dr. Faisal from Ayub Teaching Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Usman Shah and Dr. Muhammad Ali from the Directorate of Health; Chief Executive Officer of the Health Care Commission (HCC) Dr. Nadeem, and Dr. Muhammad Junaid Khan from the Medical Education Team attended the meeting.
