DC Gujranwala reviews service provision under Suthra Punjab Program

GUJRANWALA, Jul 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner, Naveed Ahmed Tuesday conducted a detailed review of various development projects and service provision in Gakhar, Gujranwala.
According to DC office, the review included the Basic Health Center Gakhar, Chanda Qila Flyover, Model Rehri Bazaar and cleanliness initiatives under the Suthra Punjab Program.
During the visit to the rural health center, several staff members, including doctors, were found absent from duty. The DC instructed the CEO Health Authority to take action against the absent staff, emphasizing that negligence in duties would not be tolerated.
He reviewed the quality of outsourced solid waste management services and directed the contractor to improve cleanliness.
He also emphasized the need for uniform sewage and sanitation facilities in urban and rural areas.
He visited Khayali Bypass and directed the removal of encroachments, warning shopkeepers to conduct business activities within prescribed limits.
He stated that work on mega projects in Gujranwala is progressing rapidly under the Chief Minister’s programs, aiming to provide better facilities to citizens and travelers.
