MULTAN, Jul 22 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu on Tuesday visited the local vegetable market and inspected the auction and delivery process of daily-use commodities to retail outlets.
He also interacted with commission agents and buyers, and received a briefing on price control mechanisms.
DC Sindhu emphasized that the district administration is closely monitoring the entire supply chain from the market to the consumer level to ensure transparency and curb artificial inflation.
He stated that price control magistrates across the district have been directed to take strict action against profiteers and hoarders. To promote transparency and public awareness, official price lists have been prominently displayed in all tehsils.
“There will be no leniency for those exploiting the public through overpricing or hoarding. Immediate action is being taken on every complaint related to profiteering,” he warned.
The DC reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing relief to citizens and ensuring strict enforcement of official rates across the district.
