ISLAMABAD, Jul 22 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani here on Tuesday.
JUIF Senator Maulana Attau Rehman and PPP’s Parliamentary Leader in KP Assembly, Ahmad Karim Kundi, were also present on this occasion.
The meeting focused on the overall security and political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Chairman Senate praised Governor Kundi for his democratic approach and strategic role in ensuring the success of opposition alliance candidates during the recent Senate elections.
He expressed the hope that the newly elected senators from KP would actively raise the province’s issues in the upper house.
Governor Kundi briefed the Senate Chairman about the prevailing insecurity in the province and shared the concerns and demands of political parties regarding the rights of KP.
He also highlighted the grievances of elders from the merged districts and informed that a tribal Jirga is planning to meet the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Senate, and other key officials to convey their concerns and demands.
