“Aurat Kahani” portrays women multi-dimensional contributions toward healthy society

ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (APP):The book “Aurat Kahani” speaks volumes of women’s undaunted courage to break the societal barriers, proving her identity, discovering her talent, achieving her due rights and thus contributing toward nation building process”
This was expressed by the speakers at a launching ceremony of the book titled “Aurat Kahani” held here Wednesday.
The ceremony was organized by National Party Punjab and Badalti Duniya Publications at National Press Club (NPC).
The ceremony was presided over by renowned researcher and scholar, Dr. Mubarik Ali while Nadeem Umar Tarar, Agha Abdul Sattar, Baba Ahmad Latif and Ayub Malik were among the speakers.
The speakers acknowledged the efforts of writer of the book, Riaz Akhtar for skillfully portraying life, struggle and contribution of a woman toward building a healthy society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mubarik Ali said the book depicts deep study and observation of the writer towards woman issues.
He portrayed the ups and downs of a woman’s life and her contributions toward improving lives of women folk and their respective families.
Dr. Mubarik Ali congratulated the writer for producing a valuable piece of literature and said, “It would be an asset for Urdu literature and a guide for the students of Gender Studies”.
Aurat Kahani is a research based book in which the writer has skillfully portrayed the way women are treated in different religions, societies and nations in different eras, he said.
The writer of the book, Riaz Akhtar said the purpose of writing this book was to highlight the role of women who are excelling in all fields of life side by side with men along with fulfilling their responsibilities towards their families.
This book is a tribute to women folk for their multi-dimensional role in betterment of their families and the whole society.
The experts including Nadeem Umar Tarar, Agha Abdul Sattar, Baba Ahmad Latif and Ayub Malik also discussed different aspects of this research-based book and eulogized the efforts of the writer.
