LAHORE, Jul 21 (APP):Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channer called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif here on Monday.
Country’s political situation and ongoing development projects in South Punjab came under discussion.
The deputy speaker paid tribute to Punjab CM on the construction and revival of roads in Punjab. He also thanked CM for establishing business centre in Bahawalpur.
He lauded projects like field hospitals, clinic on wheels and Maryam Nawaz health clinic and termed the equal development of all cities under Punjab Development Programme as a game changer.
He also paid tribute to CM for starting air ambulance, field hospital and eradicating encroachments.
Formal approval for setting up children hospital in Bahawalpur was given keeping in view the needs of people.
It was agreed to construct children hospital near Civil hospital in Bahawalpur. The Punjab CM sought a plan for Children Hospital Project, Bahawalpur.
She said that development of Punjab was very close to her heart and added that basic facilities were being provided to people of South Punjab at their doorstep.
Deputy Speaker Channer said that Punjab was heading on road to progress under the able leadership of Punjab CM.
