PESHAWAR, Jul 21 (APP):Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, has launched certified foreign language courses for health-care professionals, faculty, and students, aimed at enhancing their international career opportunities and employability abroad.
These courses are being offered in collaboration with the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Peshawar, and are designed to provide both basic and professional-level language skills tailored to the needs of the health-care sector.
The languages being offered include Arabic, German, Chinese, Korean, and English. Each course will span 18 weeks and will be offered at a highly subsidized fee of PKR 20,000. Successful participants will receive a certificate from NUML, recognizing their achievement and language proficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq emphasized that language barriers remain a significant hurdle for health professionals seeking employment in the Gulf, East Asia, and European countries. He added that these courses are part of KMU’s commitment to equip its graduates and staff with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive international job market.
The courses will be conducted at KMU’s main campus in Phase 5, Hayatabad Peshawar.
All students, faculty, and staff from KMU’s constituent and affiliated colleges are eligible to enroll.
The last date for registration is 28 July 2025, and each language course will begin once a minimum of 50 participants has registered. KMU encourages all interested candidates to take advantage of this opportunity and register within the due date.
